The overall objective of the conference is to support the manufacturers and exporters of apparel in the South Asian region to keep abreast of emerging trends and opportunities in order to prosper as leading suppliers to the World. The conference will provide a forum for high profile leaders in the apparel sector to exchange ideas with the apparel manufacturing and exporting community of South Asia.


WHO SHOULD ATTEND?


The conference is designed for manufacturers and exporters of apparel in the South Asian region with special reference to India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. Registered postgraduate students from the Region are also encouraged.

WHY SHOULD YOU ATTEND?

New concern over the wider global issues is reflected in the term sustainable manufacturing which include sources with relatively long life and relatively low impacts. The emerging ethical consumerism and Sustainability in EU and leading European retailers will make presentations covering this topic. Manufacturing Excellence, Lean Manufacturing, Global Product Quality, Strategic Sourcing and the Supply Chain are some of the areas coming up for discussion under Operational Excellence.

The Conference will conclude with a presentation on the future of the Chinese Textile and Apparel Industry. Each session will have two to three presentations followed by a panel discussion.
